Big News 2004
major events this year on Koh Tao
Koh Tao has a large community of dive shop owners and instructors
who are working together with the local authorities
and schools to help preserve the island's beaches and reefs. Below are
a few of the events that the Koh Tao IDC Group has been involved in. Follow

July 2004
Koh Tao Explorer CD-ROM
In an effort to promote Koh Tao to new visitors, this
CD-ROM provides a huge array of useful information about the island to
let tourists get the most out of their visit.
June 2004
Koh Tao Turtle Release
Koh Tao is known as Turtle Island and the Thai army provided 200 young
turtles to be released on Koh Tao's Sairee Beach and make their way back
to the sea.
April 2004
Giant Clam Release
One of the most colourful creatures to be found on Koh Tao's Reefs, the
Giant Clam Release was made in honour of Her Majesty
the Queen's sixth cycle birthday
February 2004
Koh Tao Clean Up
A huge day out for everyone on the island to come together. clean up the
island's beaches and reefs and celebrate the diversity of Koh Tao's marine
life

to Jonas's course
Best thing about the Divemaster course? The tuition. For
a Swedish guy, Jonas is OK.
